Carrie Bartmann Named Director of Assessment and Evaluation

Thompson School District announced today that it had named Carrie Bartmann as Director of Assessment and Evaluation. She will fill the position vacated by Brigitte Mutter, who is departing the district. She will direct and manage the district’s student data and information system, providing statistics, interpretation, and analysis to all stakeholders. She will also assist district staff with data-based research.

Ms. Bartmann is currently serving as an assistant principal at Thompson Valley High School, a position she has held since 2018. Among her duties, she has worked as the assessment coordinator for the school, led staff development efforts, and served as the district-level mentor for new assistant principals within the district. Ms. Bartmann’s other career positions include employment as the K-12 Assistant Principal at Dayspring Christian Academy and multiple roles within Thompson School District at Turner Middle School and Berthoud Elementary School.

“I’m excited to continue making a difference for the district in this new capacity,” Ms. Bartmann said. “Working with data is a necessity in education, and helping support student achievement for each TSD student is something I’m passionate about in this role.” Ms. Bartmann earned a Bachelor of Science in Teaching at Minnesota State University and a Master’s degree in Special Education with an emphasis on Gifted and Talented instruction from the University of Northern Colorado. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Colorado State University.
