The Loveland High School band took first place in their division at the Bands of America regional competition in Flagstaff, Ariz. The competition featured 17 bands from Colorado, Arizona, California, Texas, New Mexico and Nevada. This was the Crimson Regiment’s first overnight competition since before the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only did the band win their division, which is based on school size, but they placed in the top half of bands in the preliminary competition and achieved fourth place in the finals, which are rated regardless of the division the participants belong to.
