Thompson School District is pleased to announce that it has named Markee Ramirez as principal at Mountain View High School, effective July 1. She will fill the position that is being vacated by Jane Harmon, who is retiring from the district.
Mrs. Ramirez currently serves as an assistant principal at Northridge High School in Greeley, Colorado, a position she has held since 2014. Her career in education also includes experience as a teacher, department chairperson, and Health Science Academy Coordinator at Greeley Central High School.
“I am honored to be the next principal at Mountain View High School,” Mrs. Ramirez said. “It’s a privilege to embark on this new journey, and I’m excited to be a part of the Mountain Lion family.”
Mrs. Ramirez earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in Kinesiology and another in Biology, from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix.
