Thompson School District announced today that it has named Lucinda Orr as the principal of Sarah Milner Elementary School, effective July 1. She will fill the position being vacated by Dale Bryant, who is retiring from the district.
Lucinda Orr currently serves as an assistant principal for Grandview Elementary School in Windsor, Colorado. Her career also includes extensive experience serving as a Learning Coach, as a Gifted and Talented / Technology teacher, and as an elementary school teacher.
“I am super excited to join the Sarah Milner Ram community and be a part of the Thompson School District.” Ms. Orr said. “As a champion for kids, I look forward to working with the students, families, and staff of this great school.”
Ms. Orr earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University. She also holds a Masters degree in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, both from the University of Northern Colorado.
