Thompson School District announced this afternoon that it has named Roy Tripi as principal of Berthoud High School, effective July 1. He will fill the position that is being vacated by Gordon Boschman, who is departing the school.
Mr. Tripi is currently serving as an assistant principal at Thompson Valley High School, a role that he has held since 2019. Before arriving in Thompson, he worked in Poudre School District as a Physical Education and Health teacher at Rocky Mountain High School for nineteen years, followed by service as the Dean of Students at Wellington Middle School for two additional years.
“I am looking forward to connecting with students, staff, families, and the extended community as quickly as possible,” Mr. Tripi said. “Berthoud High School has proven itself to be a quality school and community. I am excited to continue this work and help keep BHS as a high performing school.”
Mr. Tripi earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science and a Masters degree in Education and Human Resource Studies from Colorado State University.
