The Alliance for a Healthier Generation has named Namaqua Elementary School one of America’s Healthiest Schools for 2024. This annual recognition honors schools for implementing best practices to support the health of students, staff, and families. This year, eight hundred and seventy-nine schools across 30 states were awarded the title. Namaqua Elementary also received this distinguished award in 2023.

America’s Healthiest Schools are recognized in up to nine categories. Namaqua Elementary was recognized for:

“As a school, we are proud of the work we have accomplished to provide support for students, staff, and families around health, social-emotional learning, and wellness,” says Angie Geraghty, Namaqua Elementary School Principal. The school community will be honored as part of the organization’s award ceremony this October in Little Rock, AR.
