Thompson School District is pleased to announce that Vivian Pankow has been named interim principal of Peakview Academy at Conrad Ball. She will fill the position that was previously held by Valerie Lara-Black, who now serves as TSD’s Director of Human Resources.
Ms. Pankow is currently serving as assistant principal at Peakview Academy at Conrad Ball, a role she has held since July of 2023. Her career in education also includes experience as a teacher, educational technology coach, academic and behavioral interventionist, and interim principal at Mary Blair Elementary School.
“I am incredibly honored and excited to serve as the Interim Principal of Peakview Academy at Conrad Ball,” Ms. Pankow said. “It’s a true privilege to continue building connections within our amazing PVA community—supporting our learners, families, and dedicated staff. I’m committed to nurturing a school culture where every learner feels empowered to take ownership of their learning, think critically, and explore what inspires them. I look forward to building on the strong foundation already in place, working together to ensure our school community thrives, and providing inspiration for all to dream big.”
Ms. Pankow earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Inclusive Education from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Principal (K-12) Licensure from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.
