What a relief to feel the cooler temperatures setting in! Though we still have some warm days ahead, we’re seeing much more comfortable conditions, especially for those in our schools without air conditioning. Your patience and resilience during those hot days didn’t go unnoticed.
Our Shared Commitment
As we move forward this year, I want to share what drives our work together: ensuring every student is learning at high levels—at grade level or above. This isn’t just an aspiration; it’s our commitment to each child in our district.
Equally important is our dedication to strengthening our culture of welcoming, belonging, and mattering where every student, family, and staff member feels valued and connected.
Listening and Learning
As your new superintendent, I’m spending these early months listening and learning from our community to understand your hopes, dreams, and concerns. We’re also working to grow our commitment to serving others with great care and concern—because when we truly prioritize service excellence in everything we do, from classroom instruction to family engagement, we create the conditions where everyone genuinely feels welcomed, knows they belong, and understands that they matter.
Exciting New Opportunities
I’m thrilled about the opening of our new Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) pathway certificate program at Thompson Career Campus. This represents another amazing opportunity for students to explore and find their purpose and career path. The new classroom looks fantastic, and we’re excited to see what this inaugural year will hold for our students.
Moving Forward Together
Thank you for entrusting us with your children and for being partners in their success. Together, we’ll make this a remarkable year.
