Thompson School District is pleased to announce that Luke Jones has been named principal of Coyote Ridge Elementary School, effective July 1. He will fill the position that is being vacated by Deon Davis, who is departing the district.
Mr. Jones brings over a decade of experience in education, including six years as an elementary teacher. He most recently served four years as an assistant principal at Bethke Elementary in Poudre School District. Mr. Jones and his family live in Loveland. Outside of school, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and three young children.
“I am honored to join the Coyote Ridge Elementary community as principal,” Luke Jones said. “Throughout my career, I have been committed to supporting the whole child by creating school cultures where students feel known, valued, and challenged to reach their full potential. I believe that strong partnerships with staff and families are essential, and I am excited to join the CRES community, which is known for its collaborative culture and strong dedication to student success.”
Mr. Jones holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a master’s degree in Music Education as well as a graduate certificate in Educational Leadership from Colorado State University.
