Thompson School District announced today that Colleen Dodge has been named principal of Peakview Academy at Conrad Ball, effective July 1.
Ms. Dodge is currently serving as principal of Preston Middle School in Fort Collins, where her focus has been on strengthening instruction and building consistent systems across classrooms. Her career experience also includes service as an assistant principal at Altona Middle School in St. Vrain Valley School District and as an assistant principal at Wheat Ridge High School in Jeffco Public Schools. She started her career as a special education teacher working with students with significant support needs.
“Across my roles, I’ve worked to improve access to grade level learning, to strengthen inclusive practices, and to build systems that support both students and staff,” Ms. Dodge said. “My background in special education continues to shape how I think about access, inclusion, and what it really means for students to be successful. I have focused on building strong teams, creating clarity and consistency for staff, and making schools places where students feel known, supported, and challenged. I’m excited to bring this work into a K–8 setting and to continue building systems that support students across their full educational experience.”
Ms. Dodge earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree from Front Range Community College, followed by a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education and Secondary Education from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Teaching and Learning from Colorado State University.
